Welcome to 4th ICCIE 2020
BACKGROUND
Education demands various innovations. Challenges in the increasingly complex world of education and various educational problems such as moral degradation, lack of literacy, pedagogical curriculum and innovation, educational technology, and so on require serious thinking related to various efforts in accordance with the demands. According to Law No. 20 of 2003 article 1 paragraph 2, "National education is education based on the Constitution (UUD) and the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) of 1945 on the basis of religious values, Indonesian national culture, and responsiveness to the demands." Therefore, the design and development of innovative education must be in accordance with the development of science, technology, and social dynamics.
Educational innovation in the era of Society 5.0 is directed to re-solve various social challenges, issues, and problems relating to educators, students, the dynamics of the education system, and social dynamics. Era Society 5.0 is an answer to the challenges that arise due to problems that arose in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era by utilizing innovations in technology that integrate cyberspace and the physical world. This is expected to balance economic development and solve social problems. Based on the background of the situation, we need a forum that is able to explore and publish various results of studies and research related to educational innovations in the era of Society 5.0 so as to provide alternatives and solutions to problems that arise both for policy makers, practitioners, academics, and the public in general.
The 4th International Conference on Current Issues in Education (ICCIE) 2020 is a continuation of the first edition of ICCIE held at Universiti Kebangsan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia in 2013, the second edition of ICCIE held at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) , Indonesia in 2015, and the third edition of ICCIE held at Yogyakarta State University (UNY), Indonesia in 2018. The 4th International Conference on Current Issues in Education (ICCIE) 2020 will also be held by Yogyakarta State University (UNY) in collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), held at Yogyakarta State University (UNY), Indonesia.
ICCIE 2020 was jointly organized by UNY and UKM to bring together a number of current and critical issues for academics, researchers, professionals, educational policy makers, and practitioners from various fields related to education. They will have opportunities to exchange ideas, communicate, and discuss educational innovations to improve the effectiveness of education for all parties in this era of disruption. This international seminar will invite experts, researchers, academics, practitioners, and the general public in the fields of education and other fields related to educational innovations. This seminar is expected to be useful in contributing to the development and innovation of education in the era of Society 5.0.
